Are you looking for a computer desk and don’t want to buy the cheap box store one and/or can’t afford the high end one. Well there is middle ground for the Do it Yourselfer. Read on…. 

Back a few years ago I decided I needed to buy a computer desk. After looking around at a half dozen furniture stores and department stores, I came to the conclusion that there were only two types of computer desks on the market; very expensive ones from high end furniture stores and pressed board garbage from low cost box stores. Neither suited my budget or tastes, but I needed a computer desk.

Computers
are fragile pieces of equipment yet more and more computers are being used in
environments that prove hostile to a PC. One of the main reasons is that many
administrators find it cheaper to use inexpensive PCs that don’t last very long
rather than buying a specialist industrial PC

However a
happy medium in the shape of an industrial PC enclosure which will offer the
same protection of an industrial computer for a fraction of the cost, allowing the
off-the-shelf computer to last just as long whilst offering the same flexibility
of an industrial machine, particularly when it comes to upgrades and repairs.
