How To Double Your Fun With The Razr2 V9 Cellular Phone

The RAZR family has become a worldwide phenomenon ever since their launch in 2005. Motorola is said to have started the trend in designing super slim and powerful mobile phones. A couple of years later, Moto is still at it with their newest August 2007 release: The Motorola RAZR2 V9. This second generation promises to double the fun and functional features brought by their older cousins. This model is distributed by AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless, in the US for $299 with two-year subscription.

First, let’s talk about the slim profile of the RAZR2 V9. Like the others, it proudly sports the thin clamshell model. It measures 4.1 x 2.1 x 0.5 inches and weighs 4.4 ounces. It comes in a warm copper finish, and a durable steel shell exterior. The external LCD is 2 inches and displays 262,000 colors. You can view caller information or use the external display as a viewfinder for self-portraits. The internal LCD measures 2.2 inches and also has 262,000 color display. The user interface is the standard AT&T menu, which is hassle-free to navigate.

The internal memory of the RAZR2 V9 is 45MB, and comes with a 2GB micro SD card. The phonebook can hold 1000 contacts, each can have entries for six phone numbers and two email addresses. You can customize your contact list by assigning caller groups, photo ID, ring tone ID with either polytones or mp3, and even the vibrate pattern. There is also voice memo, voice dialing, calendar, and reminders. The RAZR2 supports USB connectivity and Bluetooth.

Internet connection will never be a problem with the RAZR2 V9, as it has HSDPA, EDGE, and GPRS packet data. Download speeds can reach an impressive 1.8 Mbps. AT&T subscribers have the privilege of enjoying entertainment options on the RAZR2 V9, such as song downloads from AT&T Music. Subscribers can also access Cellular Video, in which they can watch live streaming shows from CNN, Comedy Central, and Cartoon Network on the RAZR2. Messaging options are bountiful, too. The RAZR2 can send SMS, MMS and email.

Critics also rave about the impressive 2.0 mega pixel digital camera with 8x zoom on the RAZR2. The camera can take shots in four resolutions, up to as large as 1200 x 1600 pixels. There is also a self timer, lighting options, color styles, and exposure settings. The camera has a memory indicator that lets you know how many more photos you can save. Videos can be recorded for MMS length or for as long as there is enough memory available.

You can personalize the RAZR2 V9 with screensavers, wallpapers, ring tones, and themes, which are downloadable from AT&T’s service. Games included with the phone are Bowling 3D and Diner Dash.
